A Sustainable Partnership

The Athena Institute and Morrison Hershfield are long-time collaborators in LCA software and practice.

The Athena Institute first released a whole-building LCA tool in 2002 and has been improving it ever since. Athena Institute tools are provided to the sustainability community for free.

Morrison Hershfield collaborated with the Athena Institute on version 4 of the Impact Estimator for Buildings. Version 4 was a substantial evolution of the tool, featuring enhanced functionality and flexibility for design teams, new regions and materials, new assembly options as well as database updates.
